Water supply

PolarGeo has huge exploration experience in the field of water supply. PolarGeo has performed exploration works to secure water supply for civil, industrial, private and mining purposes.

Volume of subsurface water extracted from sources discovered by PolarGeo specialists amounts to 1.3 million m3 per day.

Many cities in the North of Russia are being supplied from water sources discovered by PolarGeo.

We have many years of experience of individual and cluster water intake projection, sanitary protective area projection, projection and execution of water sources development. Since 2001 PolarGeo drafted and developed more than 70 water supply projects, including for several cities, oil wells, oil and gas pipelines, railroad infrastructure.

Geotechnical engineering

PolarGeo is one of the leading provider of geotechnical engineering services in permafrost conditions.

PolarGeo provides geotechnical engineering services for various purposes, ranging from housing and civil infrastructure construction to trunk pipeline construction.

PolarGeo has played a central role in the geotechnical engineering support for the Timan-Pechora hydrocarbon basin development, as well as development of the Pechora coal basin. Dozens of oil deposits were developed with our support. Geotechnical engineering works were performed for the construction of more than 200 km of trunk pipelines.

We have been awarded participation on Gazprom’s megaproject “Yamal”. We are providing geotechnical engineering services for the construction of 780 km of unique gas trunk pipeline (Bovanenkovo-Uhta). In severe tundra conditions our specialist should help Gazprom to secure its European customers with additional 140 billion m3 p.a. capacity.

PolarGeo has been performing extensive drilling for the purposes of electrochemical protection of trunk and local pipelines.

Our latest notable project in this field is electrochemical protection of Surgut-Torjok trunk pipeline.
